Alright, so our November title, Station Eleven, is really really good, but I’ve never been more uncomfortable working in a public place and breathing other peoples’ air. Germaphobes beware.
But seriously, Allison P. chose a really good book, and we’re meeting Tuesday 11/22 at 7:30 pm in the left-hand-side bar at Napper Tandy’s to discuss.
Not only will we be discussing a fantastic book, we’ll also be voting on which book to read over December and January! Since we don’t meet in December, we like to take the opportunity to read a longer book that we normally wouldn’t try to fit between usual meetings. If you can’t attend 11/22, please tweet @titlesontap or comment below with your vote. We’ll rank choices 1-5, with 5 being your top choice, 4 being your second choice, and so on. And the contenders are:
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
1Q84 by Haruki Murakami
The Rook by Daniel O’Malley
Night Film by Marisha Pessl
The Orphan Master’s Son by Adam Johnson
Believe me, you’re lucky there are only five choices. Vote electronically if you can’t join us, otherwise we’ll see you Tuesday at 7:30 pm!
