We’re halfway through October and I’m halfway through our latest title, “Breed.” If you haven’t picked up your copy yet don’t worry, this is definitely a book you can sail through. We still have copies of the book and one audiobook available at the Reference Desk.
A sci-fi/horror novel that riffs on the concept of designer babies gone wrong (but wrong for whom? hmm…), this book is not, in my opinion, very scary or heavy at all. In fact, I’ve been laughing quite a bit. Apparently the difference between exquisitely delicious and absolutely disgusting is one hypodermic needle full of animal hormones.
Can’t join us on October 27th at 7:30 pm? Want to get a jump on November’s title? Copies of “How I Became a Famous Novelist” by Steve Hely are available to pick up at Reference! Ready for some satire? Ever read the hottest new bestseller only to throw it down thinking, “How the heck to did this ever get published?” Your vindication has arrived. 🙂
Hope to see you all at Napper Tandy’s on 10/27 at 7:30 for a spooky good time (costumes are allowed, I may or may not dress up a little). Mwah-ha-ha.
