How can you be both laid-back and adventurous with your summer reading? Dip your toe into the world of graphic novels with “Sailor Twain: or, the Mermaid in the Hudson” by Mark Siegel. Full of atmospheric charcoal drawings about life in the Gilded Age on the Hudson River, the story takes us on a steamboat journey with a dreaming sailor, a philandering captain, and a mysterious mermaid. With very little text, this novel is a page-turner (seriously, I just read 17 pages in about a minute).
Pick up a copy at the Reference Desk, whip through it, and join us Tuesday August 25th @ 7:30 pm in Napper Tandy’s of Norwood. If you don’t see us right away, we might be on the back patio. 🙂
